As per the central government provision, the College has a National Social Service unit which organizes different social activities throughout a year, where students engage in different kinds of community services. A seven-day winter camp in a village near the College is organized every year. During their stay in the village, the students engage in cleanliness activities, conduct surveys. They perform street plays, sing songs to spread awareness on various social issues such as importance of education, hygiene, literacy, superstitions etc.
The Motto of NSS “Not Me But You”, reflects the essence of democratic living and
upholds the need for selfless service. NSS helps the students develop &
appreciation for other people's point of view and also show consideration towards
other living beings. The philosophy of the NSS is a good doctrine in this motto, which
underlines the belief that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the
welfare of the society as a whole and therefore, the NSS volunteers shall strive for
the well-being of the society.
