Department
The department of Statistics was established in 2016 and currently offers Statistics as a subject till second year of B.Sc. course. The department is well equipped with Computers and LCD projectors with internet facility.The department aims to train the students in the development and applications of Statistical techniques for analysing data with advanced statistical software packages such as R software, Excel etc.
Objective:
It is beneficial to become a statistician and it is also required in the government sector to work on studies and research on consumer prices, fluctuations in the economy, employment patterns, population trends and so many departments. In the private sector, statistical manpower is required in marketing, insurance, and information technology as Data Science, Data Analyst and Data scientist positions.
